자연과 삶의 미학을 품은 흙을 통해 오래된 사물 속 한국적 미감과 시간의 층위를 현대의 조형 언어로 재사유하며, 기와나 도자 등이 이루는 고요한 정물적 풍경을 구워냄으로써 도자를 회화적 영역으로 확장하고 전통을 현재 살아 숨 쉬는 풍경으로 마주하게 합니다.

옻칠과 난각(계란껍데기), 자개라는 전통 재료를 통해 오랜 시간과 인내로 켜켜이 쌓아 올린 삶의 풍경과 마음의 결을 달항아리 속 산수화 등에 담아내며, 작품 완성의 과정에서 얻은 기쁨과 위로가 관람객들에게도 마음을 어루만지는 고요한 울림과 작은 위안으로 전해지기를 바랍니다.

단상 고양이는 일상 속 관계와 감정을 담아내는 친근한 젠더프리 캐릭터이자 매개체로서 작가와 관람자를 정서적으로 연결하고, 삶의 교차점에서 마주하는 개인적 기억과 경험을 시각화하여 관람자가 자신의 삶을 돌아보고 일상의 소중한 의미를 다시금 느낄 수 있도록 돕는 역할을 합니다.
